The Kao San road seems to me to be a hellish mixture of Cambden, Glastonbury and, well, Hell. But, if you want to buy a stupid wooden frog from a women wearing the most ludicrous hat you will ever see then go. If you are under twenty-one or over fiftie and want to get laid this is the street for you. Also, if you want to spend your time feeling particulary English and saying “No, no thankyou. I( have one of those,” or, “I’m not going anywhere, I don’t need a taxi,” then it is ideal. Apart form that it’s chaos. Nice food though. P.s. I prefer Kuala Lumpa.
