I think this is the most confusing photo I have ever seen. They are WWII German soldiers (they have shovels=worrying) and they are laughing at two pigs having sex. Is it a metaphor? Does it mean absolutely nothing, only that war is strange and hallucinatory at times. This photo worries and intrigues me equally. Look at the guy on the left. He is laughing his ass off, whilst the guy on the right seems eager to get on with digging their holes/graves(?).
