Passion Pit - Sleepyhead

Here’s some musical Marmite. You’re either going to get this stuck in your head like a Halloween axe or think it’s a clanging cacophony.

(Personally, this has spent the last two days churning its way around my brain like a red sock in a white wash)

It’s like bits of The Avalanches mixed with Kanye’s parts of Jay-Z’s The Blueprint, making a smash and grab run through a table top sale. It’s from a mini-album called Chunk Of Change that was originally written as an audio Valentines day present for singer Michael Angelakos girlfriend. When he discovered that people really liked the music he assembled a band to play the songs live.

It does make your brain hurt after a while, so be careful.
